Cadbury Creme Eggs

Updated on February 15, 2015

Creme Eggs: the most famous Easter Candy

Everyone has happy memories of eating Cadbury Cream Eggs every Easter time since they were a kid. Cadbury Creme Eggs are the perfect combination of sweet, gooey filling on the inside and delicious Cadbury milk chocolate on the outside. They are small enough to eat in a single serving, but are big enough that you can satisfy your sweet tooth.

Over the years, Cadbury has come up with many different flavors, which are all equally delicious, making it hard to choose just one. Do you go classic style or mix it up with some of the newer creations out there? My personal favorite is the Caramel Cream Egg. Rich, delicious and sticky caramel is the perfect pairing with the milk chocolate on the outside. I've been known to eat at least one of these a day in the week or two leading up to Easter.

But yourself a box of Delicious Cadbury Creme Eggs this Easter and share with your friends and family. Teachers, why not share some with your students on the day before the big Easter holiday? They'll love you for it because everyone appreciates this delicious treat!

How are Cadbury Cream Eggs made? The secret is revealed!

The question that everyone wants to know!

First, liquid chocolate is poured into a 1/2 egg shaped mould. Then it's filled with white fondant and a dab of yellow fondant for the yolk. The fondant is denser than the chocolate, so it doesn't mix but instead pushes the chocolate outwards. Then, 2 mould halves are pushed together quickly, cooled and allowed to set. The moulds are removed and then the eggs go further down the line for packaging.

How do people eat their Cream Eggs?

53% of people bite off the top, lick out the 'creme' then eat the chocolate

20% just bite straight through

16% use their finger to scoop out the 'creme'

I'm firmly in category one. I always take a small bite off the top, and kind of suck the cream out. Then, I finish eating the rest of the chocolate.
